Give your parents a practice spelling test. Grade them and tell me how they did!!!!

Reading:

Choosing the right setting is important to ‘set the mood’ of the story.

Pretend you are writing a mystery book. Can you think of a “good” setting for it? Draw what that setting looks like and describe it with words.


MATH


In your journal draw this math problem…

Danny is building 3 skateboards. Each skateboard needs 4 wheels. How many wheels will he need to finish them.

Draw your answer using your “loops and groups” method. Also write the number sentence to match.


Writing:

We have been talking about run-on sentences. The 3rd graders are learning to see where one sentence ends, and the next one begins. Please fix the following story, adding ending punctuation and capital letters where needed.

Portland is an interesting city it has several nicknames it is called “Bridge City” because there are so many bridges it is also called “Stumptown” because in the early days, people cut down so many trees and left just the stumps.
