We have started talking about Inference. We are focusing on Chris Van Allsburg’s books. As an author, he loves for his stories to “leak” out, and not reveal themselves right away.

We read Just a Dream this week, think about what the boy experienced in the story. What were his emotions (feelings) at the beginning of the story and how did they change by the end of the story? What happened in the story that made his feelings change?

Writing:

Please write a short paragraph about a personal experience. BUT YOU CANNOT TELL PEOPLE HOW YOU FELT. Instead, write details or give clues that help the reader understand your feelings.
