Math
We started talking about averages today.  Remind the students about the spoonful of cubes.
Get a bowl of small items (beans, small pasta, etc)

Take 3 spoonfuls of the item out.
Record how many you got in each spoonful.
What is the average number of items that your spoon held?  Remember, if you have a remainder, you can show it as a fraction.

Reading and Writing

We are busy planning our imaginative stories.  We have worked on the setting, major and minor characters, and the main idea of what is going to happen.

Outline what is going to happen in the beginning of your story and how your story is going to end. You can illustrate it and write a sentence or two describing what happens.

In class we are going to work on developing the action that takes place in the middle.
