Art Class

We have been doing some wonderful art projects in class.  We are talking about the principles of design; overlapping, off-the-page, repetition and variety.  Our past several art projects have asked the students to explore these ideas.

Crazy Hair Art - yes, it is a self-portrait, but I asked the students to use all the elements of design to make crazy hair.

Hand Optical Illusion - this was a study of using line to create dimension in our artwork.  We repeated the same element (line), but by changing the direction of the line, we created the illusion of a hand standing off the page.
