encourage every student to sign up to be a cafeteria helper. When we all do our part, our community is
even better. This starts with
helping Erin out in the cafeteria.
Math
We are in the 2nd year of the new Math

math thinking.
This month, we are working on different types of
measurement, addition/ subtraction facts and graphing.
Writing
The Writing Curriculum is getting off to a great
start.
We are working on how writers get ideas for writing. This year, your child will learn how to

Also, by the end of the year students will be
able to write a 5-paragraph essay.
Reading
Mrs. Mauldin's Reading
Curriculum allows students to become active participants in their reading
experiences.
Right now we are building
the foundations of the program. How to choose books, How to record in our reading
journal.
We will talk more about
this at curriculum night.
