Grandparents Day

We were so fortunate to have so many visitors come to our classroom for Grandparents/Special Friends Day last week.  Our guests came into our classroom and we played a math game together.

Afterwards, we interviewed our visitors.  We found out lots of information!  Here is a brief snapshot!

Closest to Arleta
One Grandfather went to Arleta when he was younger!

Farthest Away
One Grandmother was born in Norway.

Favorite Music
Beatles,  Elvis,  Hank Williams, the 4 Seasons, and Micky Mouse Club were some of most popular responses!

Favorite Games
Checkers, Jacks, Chess, Memory Red Rover, Hide and Seek, Baseball, Football, Basketball

Elephant Award
15 of our guests could remember the names of their 2nd Grade teacher.....amazing memory!

Everyone remembered when gas was under a dollar per gallon!

After the classroom visit, we performed for all the Grandparents and Special Friends who came to visit.  We performed the play/poem "Which Shoes Do You Choose?"  The kids have worked hard on their performance, and it was just darling to see them on stage!

It was wonderful to share our classroom community with the people who mean the most to us.  It was a great day!
