Portland Art Museum

On Tuesday, we went on our first field trip of the year to the Portland Art Museum.  We have been discussing the first people who lived in our area, and the museum has a collection of Northwest Native Art. 

It was exciting to see how the Native Peoples lived and the items that have been preserved for us to appreciate.

Our trip started on our local city bus.  This was the first time riding Tri-Met for some of our students.  They were very excited!!!

We went to the museum and were led on guided tours by museum docents.  I don’t have any pictures….the museum doesn’t allow it.

Afterwards, we had a lovely lunch outside…..the rain stayed away.

The trip was a huge success!
