Math

This week, focus on the x2 and x3 facts. Just try to integrate your practice in different areas of your day.

We are working on making change with money.

Look one of the grocery ads in the Sunday paper. If you had 15.00 to spend, what 4 things could you buy? How much change would you have left over?

Reading:

Fact vs. Opinion

Find 3 different objects around your house and tell me a fact and then an opinion about the object.

EXAMPLE: a teddy bear---

FACT--The teddy bear is brown.

OPINION--The teddy bear is cute.

Writing:

Another type of expository writing is the “How-to” or instructional writing. Think about something that you know how to do. Write a paragraph telling someone else how to do it. Make sure you include all the steps and all the materials/items they will need to complete the task.

(for example, How to make a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich)
