Homework 3/15

Goal Evaluation: Write a sentence or two explaining how you did on your goal.


Math

This week, focus on the x7 facts. Just try to integrate your practice in different areas of your day.

We have been discussing probability in class. Draw an answer and tell me in words (using a fraction to represent the number) the answer to this problem.

What is the probability of choosing a green marble from a jar containing 5 red, 6 green and 4 blue

marbles?


Writing:

It is always a good thing to practice our editing skills. Good editors check for punctuation, capital letters

Look at the paragraph on the back. There are 10 mistakes. Find them all, and with a different color, make the corrections.

You may glue the paragraph into your journal.


Reading:

This week, we started a new round of Reading Partnerships. Write a letter to your Reading Partner. Tell them how you feel about this reading partnership. What has gone well? What is something that you wish had been different? Make sure you give your Reading Partner at least one compliment.


Spelling: (words come home Thursday)

The vowel sound in ball can also be spelled augh, ough, and al.
