Oregon Historical Society

Our field trip to the Oregon Historical Society was a huge hit! We went to visit their Portland exhibit and tour. We got to see lots of cool artifacts and original artwork. I think the highlight of the trip was going into the archive library where we got to look at pictures of early Portland and maps of the city. We even got to see a Portland treasure map....that got the kids' attention!

The highlight may have been riding Tri-Met there and back. I was able to take these pictures on the bus. Sorry, we were too busy in the museum to take pictures (plus they don't allow it).....




We had planned on eating lunch on the Park Blocks, but, of course, the rain has returned to Portland. Instead, we came back to school, and ate in our classroom. The kids enjoyed the picnic!
