This week, focus on the x6 facts. Just try to integrate your practice in different areas of your day.
Anything can be divided into fractions. The important thing is to REMEMBER what the whole is. Here is some fraction fun.
· The last 1/8 of elephant + the first 1/5 of order.
· The first 3/4 of fine + the last 3/4 of dish.
· The last 1/6 of cement + the first 3/7 of history.
· The first 2/5 of water + the last 3/4 of fits.
Reading:
This week we have been comparing and contrasting 2 different topics; the history of Portland Streetcars, and the history of Portland roads and cars.
Think about how these 2 topics care alike and how they are different.
Writing:
It is always a good thing to practice our revising skills. Look at the paragraph. You can cut it out, and glue it into your journal. Using a colored pencil…..show me what you would change to make MY WRITING BETTER.
In the summer, John’s family goes to the beach. They swim in the water. John’s mom and dad like to snorkel. They breathe through a tube. They wear goggles to see the fish. John doesn’t swim as well, but this year, he is going to take lessons. John will go snorkeling, too.
