This year, I have started something new in the classroom.  We started to make a video today, but encountered some difficulty toward the end.  But, let the kids tell you the first part...



This word of the day is then used throughout the day as a "signal word."   When the students hear the word, it is the signal to line up or to start an activity.  During the day, I will use it in sentences, discuss its origin, or talk about synonyms and antonyms.  It is a great way to increase our vocabulary!
